Hi guys,
I´m really proud of you and your artistc skills.
Your art works are amazing.
Most of them couldn´t be better!!!

Welcome to this new blog entry!!
This month we are going to learn about some new and different techniques.

1. Pointillism
2. How to design a night-time picture
3. Thousands of possibilities for decorating stones

Pointillism

The pointillism technique consists of making a drawing using only points. It is absolutely surprising to see how the artist can create shadows, combine colors, and give volume only with points.
This technique appears for the first time in 1884, headed by the French neo-impressionist  painter Georges Seurat.

"A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" is
the artist's most famous pointillist work. It is a summer landscape near Asnieres in Paris.

LOOK!   this is the original picture

And now, have a look at this one!!

This picture  was painted by students of Espartales some years ago. Don´t you think is  brilliant!!
 Of course it is!!

And now it´s your turn !!
Combine colours and dots of different sizes.
The distance between dots is also important:
The closer the dots are, the brighter the colour will be.
Use felt-tip pens.

I'm dying to see yours!!!

A night-time picture

These artworks show the scene of a forest sky in the night time.

This other pictures show some wild animals in the African savanna when the sun is setting down

Thousands of possibilities for decorating stones

Have a look at the different forms  of decorating street stones:

OWLS, TRAINERS SHOES, CATS, FISH, BIRDS ANS FLOWERS...

Now that you can already go out to the park for a walk,
look for and collect some flat stones and decorate them as you prefer.
Be creative, artistic and original!!
Decorate as much stones as you want.
You can use any kind of paint.

Enjoy this activity and remember:
if you use brushes, don´t forget to clean them when you finish.

A million of kisses and hugs
Gardenia
