Hello everyone!

Today, in Natural Science, we are going to learn how electrical generators produce electricity (p.92).

Have you ever though that sbstance like water can produce electricity? If so, you are right! The force of the water can produce electricity. Here you have the info.

The force of the air can also produce electricity by moving the blades of windmills in eolic power stations. Again, a turbine moves and a magnet moves too which produces electric current. This type of energy is called renewable energy (it can be used many times and it does not contaminate as coal or petrol energy does)

Here you have an explicatory video about how hydroelectric power stations work:  Hydroelectric power plant

In addtion you will do the next activity:

Activity 2 page 93. This activity will help you to review what we studied last day (electromagnetism). Please, do not do the activity in a rush; think before! :)

IMPORTANT: The last day to send me the activty by e-mail will be on Sunday 3rd of May at 14:00

Enjoy the long weekend we have, and remeber to put the face mask if you go out =)
